Know Pharrell Williams Good Time Hotel in Miami
Pharrell Williams Good Time Hotel design project highlights the art deco aesthetic. Therefore this project goes through pastel colours, vintage furniture and playful décor.
The Good Time Hotel was designed by Ken Fulk and landscaped by architect Raymond Junglesthis. In order to reflect the famed local art deco architecture, the whole project was based on a simple state-of-mind for the guests: having a good time.
Thus Pharrell Williams Good Time Hotel is a collection of intimate spaces. Encouraging its guests to explore every corner and tap into their senses of adventure.
From meditation that calms the mind to spaces that cultivate community. And from music that transports the soul to food that stimulates the spirit.
‘’The Goodtime Hotel imparts a feeling of both revitalization’’, said Pharell Williams.
The hotel stays in a central historic area of south beach. Featuring 266 rooms as well as 100,000 square feet of public space. This includes Strawberry Moon, a restaurant, and 30,000 square foot pool club. And 45,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a peach-hued bar called the Library.
In the hotel’s restaurant and pool club Strawberry Moon, Fulk’s design reminds both the Caribbean and Central American. Such as resort towns as Havana and Acapulco that were popular in the mid-twentieth century.
The inside…
The inside part embraces pastel colors, mixed prints, historic architecture, and vintage pieces. Which creates a tropical mood that’s hard to fit in an unique style but even harder to not fall in love.
Like its entryway filled with plants and decorated with a hand-painted hothouse mural. Furthermore, the art deco plasterwork leads in the lobby.
In the guest suites, the majority of the custom furniture brings the right atmosphere without losing any detail. The bespoke bedding and drapes feature alongside leopard-print benches. As well as some of the rooms have either sunset views across the Atlantic ocean.
Resuming the Good Time Hotel seems to be a really Oasis to escape for few days. As Pharell Williams says: ‘’ we want to customers feel like your worries and anxieties have been left outside’’.
The Good Time Hotel was recently opened in April of 2021.
