The Hotel
Hard Rock is most known for its restaurants full of memorabilia and its t-shirts with the brand’s logo and the corresponded city. This time, they didn’t let the guitar for the t-shirt but brought it to life in the Guitar Hotel.
It’s an expansion worth 1,5 billions dollars of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Founded in 2004, it’s now the world its most iconic hotel. The guitar hotel with its 137 m height and all covered in glass panes opened its doors on October 24th.
At the Guitar hotel there are 638 luxury rooms and suites fit for small or big groups. Each room have incorporated many amenities so the client will experience a full rock star lifestyle. Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrobes, mood lightning, the possibility to rent a guitar, etc. are some of many facilities disposed.
Activities
Obviously, the 4* Guitar Hotel has many activities to offer its guests. Unlike, the spa and pool you may find elsewhere, the Seminole Hard Rock disposes a retail mall inside the establishment. Also, there’s a possibility to rent a cabana surrounded by pools which offers a “Bora Bora” experience as they call it. With its 3 different dimension pools, it’s possible to paddle, canoe and do other water sports in there.
There are room to host meetings or conventions and a brand-new performance hall with a capacity for 6500 people. It goes without saying that there’s a casino with more than 3000 possible tables.
The architects
The mind behind this masterpiece are from the Klai Juba Wald architects. A renamed group worldwide known for their amazing work in Las Vegas architecture. Founded in 1995, they count now 25+ years experience. Also, they’ve worked on the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and in the renovation of MGM Grand Las Vegas.
The Oculus
The Oculus, which is the animation in the hotel lobby, was designed by the Lab of Rockwell Group. This entrance offers the guests a show encompassing water, light and sound regrouping theatrical, technological and architectural characteristics in the Guitar Hotel.
Guitar Light Show
Last but not least the light show. In fact, the guitar shaped hotel has LED lights on all its sides that showcase a multitude of visual effect. It changes the colors according to the rhythm of the songs. The guitar strings can reach an altitude of 6000 m in the sky. The façade also serves as screen and entertainer for the musical or sport perfomances. Definitely, the Seminole is a beacon for entertainment that can be seen miles away.
